Too many things to do.
And procrastinating on one just one adds to the ever-growing pile.
How to finish those nagging tasks once and for all.
Here’s the bloggers guide to peace of mind.
Giving up isn’t always the best move. But in this case resting your oars might be one damn good idea.
It may seem to you that all the tasks at hand are important and need to be done at once.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Even if it were true, there’s no way you can complete everything at hand simultaneously.
Our minds aren’t simply built for that.
Golden rule: One task at one time.
Now that’s out of the way make the decision on what you want to do first.
You might need some prioritizing and deep-thinking to zero in on that particular task.
Now start doing the task. No matter how long it takes, finish it.
Do this task intently
The focus shouldn’t deviate.
Be it finishing a blogpost or doing some freelance work or designing the content so that it looks good focus on the task and get it over with.
Don’t procrastinate. Don’t shelve it away. Start chipping it away and within no time it will be gone.
Here’s a tip when it feels like too much. You want a break. Fool your mind to think of it this way: I will take my break but one minute after I am done here. Not before.
Focus on the why
Your blogging might not be bringing you any results.
Lot of hard work and nothing to show for it.
Friends and family are badgering you for all for the time spent typing your heart away but you don’t have any results.
Keep your cool.
Focus on why you’re creating this piece of content.
Whom does it help?
Does it live up to the hype you are creating?
Does it present things with clarity?
If not, work on it until you are able to see it becoming into one hell of a blogpost.
Don’t stop midway.
Give up again
Despite planning everything well and going at the tasks one at a time you might not be able to find the time to do everything.
Don’t worry. We are all humans. We have our limitations.
Nothing to be ashamed of.
Give up on those tasks that you simply can’t get to no matter how hard you try.
It’s hard. It hurts your pride. You’re supposed to the superman of blogging but it doesn’t always work that way.
