It’s possible you experimented with lots of lead generation tactics and are testing a few even now. Some might have worked, some might have given you a lukewarm response and others failed.

More often than not lead generation tactics fail because of an incorrect strategy.
If you alter the strategy you will see success with the methods you’re employing.
Targeted leads are within your reach. You don’t need to spend any more time on things that don not work. Instead focus your energies on things that net you results.
You can always use a lead generation tool like ContactOut to automate some processes.

Write spectacular content
Nothing beats lead generation as writing a great article. It brings visitors running to your site.

You should really care about writing as a digital nomad and find time even when you get busier and can’t tackle a lot of things on your own.

When you write in your own style your personality sparkles through the content you write and that makes people trust, love and appreciate you more.
Content is really king.

B2b buyers have been relying more and more on content to make their b2b purchase decisions.

And budget for content marketing is going up every single year.
But that said half baked content doesn’t do anyone any good least of you.

Content should be interesting, action oriented and drive people to engage and interact with whatever’s presented on the site.
It should be helpful and full of original experiences that are true for you.

Content should be able to drive leads. It should be able to educate visitors and it should also drive awareness regarding your brand.

Keyword research

When you write content for your target audience make sure you add relevant keywords to your blog post.

This is the first step to ensure that people who are really interested in what you have to say find your content.

This then ensures that they’re compelled to give you their email id as well.

After these two steps are done you ensure lasting loyalty and trust from their end.

After that is generated that’s the key to unlocking conversions and sales later down the road.
Your content should be able to drive high quality leads to your site and the basis of quality content is indepth keyword research and post optimization followed by that.

  1. Create A Good Optin Offer/Incentive

A good offer spells benefits that the lead will get for himself if he chooses to take up on the offer.

A good offer is something that’s hard to replicate by others.

It shouldn’t be easily found elsewhere and be something that offers proportionate value in return.

It needs to be able to attract people and make them think it’s valuable enough for them to have it. Free eBooks are hot lead magnets that tend to work even today.

There can also be webinar recordings, video courses and tools you might be able to give away for free and use as a lead generation tool or lead gen magnet.

It needs to be relevant to the audience.

Focus On Inbound Marketing

You should be spending the entirety of your time in inbound marketing efforts when beginning your blog.

Hubspot’s research brings to light some startling facts: “Most marketers today spend 90% of their efforts on outbound marketing and 10% on inbound marketing.”

But what’s inbound marketing in the first place?

It’s the process of creating content that appeals your clients. Clients should come looking for you instead of you going hunting down for them.

This is only possible if you write quality content that can attract them in the first place to your blog. Without that nobody converts into leads.

Hubspot’s research claims that inbound marketing efforts generate 54% more leads than what gets generated from traditional outbound marketing efforts.

Host A Webinar

A webinar is an excellent option to generate a torrent of hot leads. Only people highly interested in what you have to offer generally bother to sit through an entire webinar and if they do and sign up you have a good chance of getting them to convert on any offer or course you may want to sell. The webinar does need to offer and talk about never before heard of strategies for it to work and excite people. Tired, old and repeated methods won’t just cut it today any longer.

You may even have so many leads that you do not know what to do with all these leads. It’s massively valuable considering the effort you put in.

Share Real Life Case Studies
Great case studies have always proven and will work even in the future. People are so tired of hearing advice that simply doesn’t work that they tend to not listen any longer.

But case studies? They’re a different ball-game alltogether.

In the case of a blog about blogging, niche site case studies generally tend to attract a lot of traffic and people. It triggers people in ways you wouldn’t normally expect.
Case studies also prove to others that you know what you’re talking about and people can hire you for the same things.

Pat Flynn’s blog became popular solely on the back of true case studies and so did Tung Tran’s blog Cloud Living.
Content upgrades geared to different audience interests is another great way to get targeted leads.

With different blog posts you can offer different incentives that can be propped up as lead magnets.

There’s also the possibility of offering content upgrades as different versions of the same blog post. You might be able to create an audio file or video of the same blog post.

  1. Have Your Opt-In Forms Visibly Scattered All Over Your Site

Place optin forms all over the site. Just having a lead gen form isn’t enough. There need to be enough of them on the site to generate any interest from the visitor. Note places with heatmaps which regions on your site are generating lots of interest and place the forms there and see if you’re able to drive conversions.

Strategic places drive lead generation. So that’s the key here.

SIdebar, at the end of blog posts, featured boxes, at the beginning of posts are all good places.
Visit other people’s websites and see what they’re doing. Test out these techniques on your site and see what the result is.

Find which places get you the most success when placing opt-in forms and when promoting them. If it’s not successful try placing it elsewhere and see what happens. The key to optimization is finding out what works and building on that.

If it doesn’t work try something else until you succeed.

There’s no single way to generate hundreds of leads on auto-pilot guaranteed to work every single time. It depends on the work you’re willing to put in.
